Triple "A" Amateur Radio Assoc. Inc. Provides and operates repeaters for use by all licensed amateur radio operators. We wish to promote a general interest in amateur radio as a hobby and assist in providing communications to local and state authorities in times of need or disaster.
About TAARA-
In January of 1972, Jerry Williamson, WA3SXQ, Kenneth Riggle, W3FCQ, and Dick Hanna, K3VYY, discussed the possibility of erecting a 2-meter FM repeater for Beaver County. Interest grew through the spring of 1972 and during the summer of that year a first meeting of the Beaver Valley Amateur FM Association was held at the home of Robert McClain, W3VRZ.
On March 22, 1973, a license was issued to the association for repeater WR3AAA. The 146.850 repeater was the first licensed repeater in third call area, and third in the nation. The Triple A Amateur Radio Association Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Robert McClain W3VRZ served as the club's trustee through 1993 when Frank Cole N3TN was duly elected to the position by the membership and served through 2022.

Standard offsets are used and a PL tone of 131.8 Hz is required.
Repeaters are open to all licensed amateurs.

Club Meetings
Club meetings are on the third Thursday of the month.
Meetings are held at the Beaver County Emergency Services Center.

Club Membership
There are four levels of membership
Individual $20.00
Family membership, $20.00 for the first family member and $7.50 for each additional family member.
Retired or student membership, $10.00
Associate membership with no voting privileges, $7.50
Dues are due and payable to the club treasurer no later than December 31 for the following year.
